Pipe,

Let me tell ya something, cause ya don't know. #smile

That title "Contributing Member" means a lot to me, because as a rule I don't join organizations, I don't join clubs, or count myself a member unless I have some sort of deep personal interest.

I can probably count on one hand how many organizations or clubs that I myself a member of: my church, an American, the Army, and the Campfire to name a few.

Contributing to the Campfire is a pleasure because I get out of it a lot more than I put in.

It is a community, and I am pretty sure that is in the truest sense of the world.

That is why I am a proud member of the Campfire.

**********

If you need another pledge drive, I'll be more than happy to pony up some cash to keep the Campfire burning. It has been a privilege to contribute.

Norseman,

That says a lot. I'm like that to a degree.

I have never once ponied up one red copper for any forum or bulletin board.... except for the CampFire....... and for those same reasons you stated so well! The CampFire is the only board I've ever seen worthy of a remunerative contribution.

This is great community and excellent family.

Thanks! #smile I feel the same way about this place which is why the time and money it takes (when I have it) doesn't bother me at all...........and knowing how great everyone here was in supporting The Campfire.........when I didn't have the resources to continue doing it myself means the world to me! #rose #laugh

I'm much the way about groups and organizations too...............I'm not a joinerinner type..........there are a FEW, but very few by most folks standards I reckon............. #cool

What everyone else said.

I'm proud to be a member of this community and online extended family and I consider it a privilege to be able to contribute to help keep it going!
