Campfire Folks,

I can't begin to express my gratitude for your support and your trust. You honor the Campfire, what it stands and has stood for, and you honor me. I thank you.

BUT, please believe me when I tell you that at the moment, monetary contributions would simply pose more problems than they would solve. Not the least of which would be me, laying awake nights, fretting whether everyone was indeed getting full and proper "bang for their contributed buck".

If you simply HAVE to contribute at this time, please buy someone in uniform a drink, or a meal, and tell them "Thank you for your service." Make a contribution to any of your local women's shelters; or go down to your local camping store and buy yourself a few freeze dried meals and stash them in your emergency kit; or in some way add to your preps.

My point being: please, take your hard earned money and put it to good use where it's needed more.

When the time comes, I promise that I'll make everyone aware of the fact, and if they are so inclined, contributions would be appreciated and put to good use (and HOW and WHAT those good uses are).

Oh, and we CAN'T auction off Chip. He's the only one doing any actual work around here ... #look

I've got a stack of about 10 cords of firewood to stack in the wood shed. Maybe Chip would like to come to Alaska and work? Its summer so he wouldn't be too cold. Heck it might even get to 75 if he's lucky. #mrgreen

Ak, Chip promised he was coming to work for me. I'll send him on up to you if it's too warm here for him. #lol

Sounds good to me Orion. We are in a cool rainy spell so it would probably be in the 50's or 60's. Perfect penguin weather.
